Deann Thompson-Arlington ISD, Title I Instructional Technology Specialist
deann-thompson@hotmail.com
I have been a Title I Instructional Technology Specialist for going on 7 years now and decided (right after having a baby) that there is no time like the present to finally get my masters! My father in law is actually a Finance Professor at Lamar so I though going through them might score me some brownie points! I have been married over 4 years, and we have a 10 and a half month old boy! We are busy!

- Little Cypress Mauriceville CISD, Instructional Technology Specialist

I taught first grade at LCM at Mauriceville Elementary for 16 years, and then moved to the technology department for the past 2 years. I am married to my wonderful husband, Jeff, and we have three grown children: Aimee, Beau, and Corrie. My children are all digital natives and helped me develop my passion for technology. In January 2009, when I first thought about pursuing my Master's degree, I was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. I went through chemo treatments and was declared in remission on July 31, 2009. So in the fall, my husband encouraged me to sign up and so here I am nearly 1/2 way through the program! God is good and has blessed me dearly throughout my battle. I have 3 precious grandchildren and twins (boy, girl) due next month. I have enjoyed the discussion boards and meeting my colleagues in this program.

- Clear Creek ISD, Business Teacher

I have been a high school Business Teacher for 26 years. I taught in a small rural school in Oklahoma for 13 years. I then moved to Victoria, Texas and taught in an at-risk high school for 4 years. I now live in League City and have been at Clear Creek ISD for the last 9 years. I'm married to a wonderful guy, Tim and I have 2 grown children, Kelsey and Connor. In December 2009, we were blessed with our first grandchild, Harrison, who is our pride and joy! I have definitely learned a lot so far on my Master's journey and have enjoyed interacting with everyone in the discussion boards and on Facebook.
