Information for August 2010 Graduates THE DEADLINE TO APPLY IS JUNE 30th Congratulations! We know that you are looking forward to completing the final course of your Masters degree with Lamar University’s Academic Partnership program!
To be eligible to graduate in August 2010, you MUST complete 36 hours of coursework on or before May 17th or June 28th.
In order for your degree to be conferred, you must apply whether you will be participating in the graduation ceremony on campus or requesting your diploma to be mailed to your home.
The application will be available on our website beginning June 1, 2010. The deadline to submit your application is June 30, 2010. Please submit your completed application to lugradstudies@lamar.edu.
To access the application go to http://stateu.com/lamar/ graduation.asp and click on “Applying for Graduation”. You will know that your graduation application has been processed when you get a reply to your application stating “Received”.
If you send your application to any other email address there is no guarantee that your application will be received by the deadline.
The Finance office will notify you by email once your fees have been posted. The deadline to pay graduation fees is July 2nd.

INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS GRADUATING AUGUST 2010 Important Dates : June 8 - First day to file application for graduation, August 2010. June 10 - Last day to file application for graduation, August 2010. June 10 - Last day to pay for diploma, cover, cap, gown, and hood for August graduation.
Bookstore fees are subject to change. The following arethe graduation fees: Master's diploma and red cover: 24.45 pay at cashier's office
Doctoral diploma and red cover: 44.45 pay at cashier's office Master's additional diploma:10.60 pay at cashier's office
Doctoral additional diploma: 20.60 pay at cashier's office Postage to mail diploma: 6.00 pay at cashier's office Masters (cap, gown, hood) 75.96 plus tax/purchase
Only/pay at bookstore. Bookstore must order/allow 6 to 8 weeks delivery

June 28 - August 4 - Period for Oral Examinations and Thesis Defense. June 28 - Deadline for Comprehensive Written Examinations. August 14 - Commencement - 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. according to college. See below. If you do not attend commencement, you must notify Ms. Carmen Breaux, Coordinator of Graduate Studies (Rm. 219, Wimberly) and Ms. Faye Soileau, Graduation Coordinator, (Rm. 109, Wimberly) on how and when to receive your diploma.
